Decrypting my Cybersecurity Sanity

At Rashele.AI, I have created a full personal webpage, with the help of AI, that will serve as a knowledge sharing platform. In this Blog, I will touch on practically any and every aspect of Cybersecurity.

Well, first of all my name is Rashele Shoun (Pronunciation: Ruh-Shell Shawn) and I have a Professional Doctoral Degree from Oklahoma State University in Forensic Sciences (And a few other degrees as well). My area of research was in Mobile Forensic tracking mechanisms, with a segue into Burner Phones and Burner Phone Tracking. I have owned practically every type of phone you can imagine. This expensive hobby gave me an advantage as I was able to use this knowledge to understand what tracking mechanisms exist on mobile devices. I already had a background in Digital Forensics so it was natural for me to pivot to cell phones because I knew this is where the good data would be. I'll go more into this area later on as I have time in my Blog.
I am a bit of an outlier. I have a deeply rooted passion for learning and exploration that can seem hard to understand at times but this passion is just deeply rooted in my DNA. Long before my professional and educational journey began in the World of Cybersecurity, I was already fully immersed in some pretty crazy things as a child that most children are not exposed to. I think it propelled me to seek out answers that I needed to know at a very young age. At the core of my endeavors has always lied an unwavering dedication to everything Cybersecurity. I was already a part of this world as a little girl. Be careful what you expose little kids to, their capacity to ingest material is utterly amazing!
In my career, I've spent years defending on the Blue side, however my heart, my passion, my fetish, has always been on the Red side. Every task I've undertaken on the Blue team has led me to explore its counterpart in my free time. The dynamic interplay of Red VS Blue constantly reignites my passion for Cybersecurity, which is no easy task because I get board so easily that I annoy myself. My ultimate aspiration is to become a highly skilled, or dare I say, b@d@ss Technical Manager in Cybersecurity. Well, let's be real here I want to be a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). It has always been my goal.
I was exposed to car repair at a very early age. In my family, if you want to get somewhere with a car, you better damn well learn how to fix it. I was tired of walking everywhere! So, I started watching my dad and my older brother and soon I passed their skillset in auto repair. (My younger brother Chris and I just seemed to catch on to this stuff naturally - Um also he is by far the coolest person you will ever meet by the way and he didn't pay me to say this!) (I did attend auto and motorcycle technical programs, as well as quite a few other educational pursuits, as you might come to notice but no not everything I have done is listed on LinkedIn) I was dually influenced by males and females so I have a very well-rounded personality. I'm not really into the bull-crap segregation of "women vs man" concepts. Love me, hate me, think what you want about me but I am a product of my environment. I fully respect women just as much as men. When I'm not immersed in my professional pursuits, I indulge my creativity by painting, wrapping, and decaling cars 🚘 and motorcycles (sports bikes only) 🏍️ as well as handling almost any mechanical repair 👩🔧. I am a high-milage road biker 🚴♀️ who loves being outdoors. I travel as much as I can and enjoy an eclectic mix of music 🎸 (definitely not Country—don’t “typecast” me just because I was born and bred in Oklahoma 🚫 LOL). I'm pretty laid-back, with a knack for humor. I truly believe that if you're not laughing, then you're not living!
My main goal in life is to experience everything I've ever wanted to, embodying Helen Keller's sentiment: "Life is either a Daring Adventure or Nothing at All." I'm not one for meticulous future planning, but I'm excited about the adventures that life has in store for me!
